Precious Shipping Sells Two Handysize Old-Timers Shipspotting Thailand-listed dry cargo ship owner Precious Shipping has disposed of two Handysize bulk carriers, MV Suchada Naree and MV Apisara Naree, pursuing its strategy to modernize the fleet by selling older and acquiring younger vessels.  The 1994-built Suchada Naree was sold for USD 1.25 million. The sale price of the Apisara Naree, which was built in 1996, was USD 1.44 million. The 23,732 dwt Suchada Naree and the 18,596 Apisara Naree were both delivered to a Singapore-based company on August 12. Memoranda of Agreement (MoA) for selling the two vessels were signed in July this year. As of August 16, Precious Shippings fleet is comprised of 20 Handysize vessels, 9 Supramaxes, 6 Ultramaxes and 4 cement carriers. Image Courtesy: Shipspotting
