Radio Holland to Look After Thomes Champions zoom Radio Holland, part of Imtech Marine, has signed a Managed Service Agreement (MSA) with Singapore-headquartered Thome Ship Management that will cover nine vessels for four years. The agreement covers a pool of nine chemical oil tankers of around 45,000-50,000 dwt on a 24/7 basis. The MSA covers the maintenance of marine electronic equipment including navigation, communication, automation and IT equipment. The contract includes everything from annual radio surveys to servicing bridge equipment, to the delivery of spare parts and on-the-spot troubleshooting. “Radio Holland has a large global network and enjoys a good reputation. We need a reliable partner we can call on to support our worldwide activities. We were looking for suitable partners to assist our tanker pool – the Champion fleet – but we found there were not so many companies with a network as extensive as Radio Holland. It is also convenient for us to have a local contact in Singapore, where we know the people and they help us wherever our vessels are in the world,” Thome Ship Management’s Fleet Group Manager Tihomar Baraba said.
