RCL and Yang Ming Starting New Intra-Asia Service zoom Thailands container line Regional Container Lines (RCL) and Taiwanese Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. are launching a new service linking Southeast Asian hubs in Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. The new service, dubbed RCL Thailand-Belawan, will connect Bangkok, Singapore, Belawan, and Port Klang (West Port). The maiden voyage is scheduled for 22 June. Both lines will operate one vessel in the new service. This service will provide a more stable schedule for Bangkok (PAT) with the addition of a 2nd vessel in the rotation. Dipping in Port Klang (Westport) allows SOC customers to choose between Singapore and Port Klang for their transhipment requirement ex Belawan. This service also provides a direct ride through between Bangkok (PAT) and Belawan and vice versa for both our SOC and COC customers, RCL said in an announcement. World Maritime News Staff
