Scorpio Finds Work for Its Newbuild Tankers zoom Scorpio Tankers took delivery of an MR product tanker, STI Bronx, from SPP Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. of South Korea. Upon delivery, STI Bronx began a time charter for up to 120 days at approximately USD 18,000 per day. The company also took delivery of a previously announced time chartered-in LR2 product tanker, Densa Crocodile. Densa Crocodile began a voyage for 54 days at approximately USD 31,000 per day. Scorpio Tankers currently owns 65 tankers with an average age of 1.3 years and time charters-in 21 product tankers. The company has contracted for 16 newbuilding product tankers (eight MR and eight LR2), two of which are expected to be delivered in the first quarter of 2015, ten of which are expected to be delivered in the second quarter of 2015 and the remaining four vessels throughout 2016.
