Seaspan Takes Sixth 14000 TEU SAVER

zoom Hong Kong-headquartered Seaspan Corporation has accepted delivery of a 14,000 TEU container ship, the YM Warmth. The new container ship, which was constructed at Hyundai Heavy Industries, is Seaspans sixth 14,000 TEU SAVER design boxship, and the eighth newbuilding delivery in 2015. The YM Warmth will commence a ten-year, fixed-rate time charter with the Taiwanese carrier Yang Ming Marine Transport, which can be extended for up to additional two years. The ship is the sixth of a total of eight 14,000 TEU SAVER design vessels to be chartered by Seaspan to Yang Ming. The delivery of the YM Warmth expands the companys operating fleet to 85 vessels.
