Seven Bidders in the Race for Croatias LNG Terminal LNG Croatia A total of 7 bids have been submitted by investors interested in building a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal on Croatian island of Krk in the Adriatic Sea, LNG Croatia LLC informed. The bidding process concluded on 31st December 2015 at 12:00am, with industrial investors submitting offers by 30th November 2015, and financial investors by 31st December 2015. From the seven received bids, 4 offers were from industrial investors and 3 offers from financial investors, the company said, adding that all potential investors have strong background in gas industry and financial businesses. Croatia will now proceed with the evaluation process by legal and financial advisers and technical experts. The LNG terminal project on the Island of Krk was declared last year by the government of Croatia a project of strategic importance for the country.
