This is the sixth ship delivered in a series of eight chemical tankers to be chartered to Navig8 Chemical Tankers under a 15-year hell and high water bareboat charter. In April 2015, Ocean Yield ASA signed a USD 306.8 million contract to buy eight chemical tanker resales, which included the vessels 15-year charters to Navig8 Chemical Tankers. The first four vessels, the 37,000 dwt IMO II chemical carriers, were built at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard and delivered in 2015. The remaining four 49,000 dwt IMO chemical tankers are being built by STX, with first of them, Navig8 Turquoise, already delivered in April this year. Image Courtesy: Shipspotting
