Solstad Inks Contract for CNO with Norwegian Coastal Administration
Solstad Offshore has today signed a contract for full Climate Neutral Operation (CNO)of its offshore vessel Normand Jarl. The vessel is part of the emergency response service of the Norwegian Coastal Service Administration.
The contract is part of the environmental programme of the company, and ensures that all pollution from the vessel is prorperly compensated by climate neutral quotas purchased through the UN-approved system.
The contract was signed by representative CEO Lars Peder Solstad from Solstad Offshore and Project Manager Roy Arne Rotnes from the Norwegian Coastal Administration.
Present at the ceremony for the signing of the contract, was the Norwegian Minister for Environment, Bård Vegar Solhjell. Solhjell stated that he was impressed by the environmental efforts of the company, and concluded that Solstad was leading the way with its solutions for more environmental friendly operations of offshore vessels.
