Suezmax Newbuild Joins Thenamaris Fleet

Thenamaris Greek ship manager Thenamaris has taken delivery of a 158,566 dwt Suezmax tanker, the Seavigour, from South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries. The Seavigour features a length of 274 meters, a width of 48 meters and a draft of 17.5 meters. The Malta-flagged tanker, which has a capacity of 170,107 cbm, is part of the companys newbuilding fleet comprised of eleven newbuilding vessels  two Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs), three Suezmaxes, four Aframax product carriers, and two Aframax crude carriers. In September 2015, Thenamaris increased its newbuilding fleet when it added two more Suezmax tankers of 158,580 dwt. According to the companys order book, ten vessels ranging from 112,000 dwt to 300,000 dwt are expected to join the companys fleet in the next two years nine of them in 2017 and one in 2018. In May, Thenamaris sold its Suezmax tanker Seatriumph to Cyprus-based Elisburg Shipping. The vessel will be used for oil storage purposes by oil shipping company CJSC Rosnefteflot.
