Tarbit Orders Two Asphalt/Bitumen Tankers

zoom Swedish shipping company Tarbit Shipping AB has ordered two 9,400 dwt asphalt and bitumen carriers to be built by Turkeys RMK Marine. The vessels will be built to Bureau Veritas class including Ice Class 1A, and will have a cargo capacity of 7,200 m3. The design of the vessels was made in close cooperation between Tarbit and FKAB, Uddevalla, Sweden. The 9.400 tdw tankers are designed with a special hull form that gives minimum resistance and a very low bunker consumption, Tarbit says. The vessels are equipped with Energopac rudder design, including a flap and strong bow thruster.
