Teekay Hires MAN to Service Its LNG Carriers Teekay Shipping Bermuda-based shipping company Teekay Shipping has hired MAN PrimeServ, the after-sales division of MAN Diesel & Turbo, for maintenance services related to its liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers. The Engine Management Concept (EMC) contract is for the maintenance of Teekays three 173,400-m3 sister ships, namely Oak Spirit, Creole Spirit and Torben Spirit. Under the agreement, MAN PrimeServ will provide spare-parts, maintenance management and the servicing services to each of the vessels two ME-GI (-Gas Injection) dual-fuel main engines. According to the terms of the contract, MAN Diesel & Turbo, Copenhagen will deliver maintenance management and spare parts, while MAN Diesel & Turbo, Shanghai will take care of the service provision for the engines.
