Torgem Launches Two Macduff-Designed ASD Tugs

In May 2013, Torgem launched the first vessels from its multiple order for Saudi Arabia – first to hit the water was the 30m ASD tug, followed by a 25m ASD tug.
In June 2012, Macduff Ship Design Ltd secured it’s largest single contract to date for a total of ten vessels comprising five new designs. The order has been placed by Torgem in Turkey who are building the vessels for Saudi Arabia.
The vessels range from a 15m general service boat, 15m pilot boat and a 25m ASD tug through to a 30m ASD tug and a 46m oil collection barge.
These designs are the first in class for Macduff with further deliveries in the pipline.
