Two Missing after Collision in South China Sea

The Vietnamese ship, which was carrying 11 people, subsequently sank. Nine people were rescued after the collision, while the ships Master and Second Engineer remain missing. Vietnams search and rescue teams continued searching for the missing crewmembers. At the time of the incident, Thanh Dat 01, which was loaded with 2700 tons of steel, was on its way from Vung Tau to Nghi Son, Gulf of Tonkin, Vietnam.
