UASC Launches Agency in Jordan

zoom Middle Eastern container line United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) has established a wholly UASC-operated agency in Jordan.  Uffe Østergaard, Chief Commercial Officer at UASC, said that Jordan is a key market for the line. UASC is therefore invested in recruitment of new staff to operate the agency in Jordan. The company  says that it has a long standing tradition and heritage in the Middle East, serving the Jordanian market since it was established and, over time, has developed a sound understanding of the local economy. The line is today assisting customers with solutions when importing food, construction materials and home appliances or exporting raw materials. Currently UASC offers three weekly services calling at Aqaba port; two of which are direct from the Far East. Moreover, UASC’s cooperation agreements with other shipping lines will provide global access to all major markets for Jordanian customers.
