USCG Detains Majesty of the Seas due to Safety Issues

Royal Caribbean The 1992-built cruise ship Majesty of the Seas was detained in the port of Canaveral on Monday afternoon following the US Coast Guards inspection. Namely, the inspectors found issues with the vessels life-saving equipment and reportedly asked that the issues be resolved before the ship is allowed to continue sailing. Owned by cruise company Royal Caribbean, the 268-meter-long allegedly started its voyage to the Bahamas a day later, on Tuesday evening. According to AIS data provided by MarineTraffic, the vessel departed the port of Canaveral and is currently underway to the port of Nassau.
