VIDEO: Meet Auerbachs Multipurpose Newbuilds

zoom The following video introduces the multipurpose, MPP F-500, series of vessels owned by German shipping company Auerbach Schifffahrt. The company has entrusted Jiangzhou Union shipyard in China to build four 12,500 DWT MPP ships, two in 2014 and additional two in March this year, slated for delivery by the end of December 2016. The ships will feature two Liebherr cranes each and consume a quarter less fuel. One of those ships has already started taking recognizable shape with the construction of the first sections of the ship. The keel of the ship was laid last week and there are still a few months to go until the delivery, Auerbach said in an update. The newly formed shipping company started operating in 2010.
