Wisdom Marine to Buy LPG Carrier for USD 20 Mln

Wisdom Marine Taipei-based shipping company Wisdom Marine Lines has decided to expand its fleet with a 6,400 dwt LPG carrier, according to the companys latest update. The companys Board of Directors approve the acquisition of the vessel, which will join Wisdom Marine from Japanese shipbuilder Murakami Hide. The shipping company said that the total price tag for the vessel will not exceed JPY 2,3 billion (USD 20.1 million). The Taiwan-listed Wisdom Marine, which owns and operates a fleet of 114 vessels, posted a net income of USD 70,8 million in 2015, representing an increase of 19 percent compared with the a year earlier. Wisdom Marines revenue for 2015 stood at USD 346.9 million, up by 16 percent year on year. World Maritime News Staff
