WSM Entrusted with Management of Auroras VLGCs

Aurora LPG Oslo-listed Aurora LPG Holding ASA has entered into a joint venture agreement with Wilhelmsen Ship Management (WSM) for the technical management of Auroras VLGC fleet. The joint venture will be named Aurora Wilhelmsen Managment Ltd and will be incorporated in Hongkong. The broad partnership will enable the company to provide visible presence and leadership in the operations of the vessels and be able to deliver a high standard of operational quality to our customers while simultaneously sharing the domain expertise of WSM, Aurora LPG said in a release, adding that the partnership will surely enhance the companys position in the industry. Aurora LPG owns three 82,000 cbm VLGCs and six 84,000 cbm newbuilds scheduled for delivery from Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries in 2016. Wilhelmsen Ship Management (WSM) is one of the worlds largest third party ship manager with a portfolio of more than 450 vessels and 11,000 active seafarers. WSM provides technical and crew management services for various vessel segments; LNG/LPG, Ro-Ro and PCC/PCTC vessels, FPSO/FSO, Container, Cruise, Bulk, Seismic and Offshore.
