ZIM, MSC Upgrade North Europe Express Service

ZIM Israeli Zim Integrated Shipping Services (ZIM) and Swiss Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) have upgraded their joint Mediterranean-North Europe service, North Europe Express (NE1). The new rotation introduces a direct call at Limassol and improved transit time from Israel to North Europe, according to ZIM. The enhanced service will have the following port rotation: Felixtowe, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Limassol, Ashdod, Haifa, Ashdod, Valencia, Felixtowe. Separately, ZIM informed it plans to upgrade its Greece Turkey Service (TGX), starting from May 2017. The company intends to deploy three 1,700 TEU vessels in the service. The new port rotation of the TGX service will be as follows: Haifa, Ashdod, Antalya, Istanbul, Izmit, Gemlik, Istanbul, Piraeus, Thessaloniki, Izmir, Haifa.
