ZIM Unveils Two More Services

ZIM Israeli shipping company Zim Integrated Shipping Services (ZIM) plans to add two services to Asia-Pacific North West (PNW) and Med/Black Sea routes, starting from April 2017. The first service, ZIM Med Pacific (ZMP), will serve both the Asia-PNW and the Asia-East Med/Black Sea trades. The company intends to deploy fifteen 4,500 TEU vessels in the ZMP service. On the Asia-PNW route, the ZMP service will link major ports in South East Asia and China to the Vancouver gateway. The line offers two new direct calls from Cai Mep, Vietnam, and Xiamen, China. The ZMP service will join the recently announced ZIM Pacific North (ZPN) service on Asia-PNW route. On the Asia–East Med/Black Sea trade, the ZMP service will include a direct call to Novorossiysk, Russia. Port rotation of the ZMP service will be as follows: Port Kelang, Cai Mep, Da Chan Bay, Yantian, Xiamen, Ningbo, Shanghai, Pusan, Vancouver, Pusan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Da Chan Bay, Port Kelang, Ashdod, Haifa, Istanbul, Novorossiysk, Odessa, Istanbul, Haifa, Port Kelang. Additionally, ZIM is launching a new India–East Med/Black Sea string, the India Med Express (IMX). The IMX service will include the following ports: Mundra, Hazira, Nava Sheva, Colombo, Alexandria, Haifa, Mersin, and Istanbul. Rafi Danieli, ZIMs CEO, said the upgraded ZIM network is operated mostly independently by the company.
