Afalina Shipping Management Company

The company "Afalina Shipping Management Company" was founded in 1997 and initially worked with sailors closed down while the Baltic Shipping Company, providing them with employment in the courts of the former BMP.

   In the early 2000s, our ship owners have changed the profile of its work, focusing on the transport of refrigerated goods, fruits and vegetables, mainly in Petersburg. At the moment, their management is refrigerator-bananovozov fleet of about 20 vessels. The main partners "Bottlenose Dolphin Shipping Management Company" is a company "Ost-West-Handel und Schiffahrt GmbH" (Germany) and «Baltic Shipping» St. Petersburg.

  Our company is focusing on the use of Russian-speaking staff mostly Russian, but for sailors from the CIS and Baltic countries, too, our doors are always open. Officially, the language used in the courts of our partners is the Russian language. The main thing for us is the quality of the professional sailor. Owners with whom we cooperate, work in close cooperation with the Russian Seamen's Union. Sailors work under the protection of a collective agreement that provides wage higher than required by ITF standards. Much attention is paid to the living conditions of seafarers, supported by an appropriate level of power crews and supply ships with everything you need, including sports equipment, video equipment, washing machines. Remuneration is made centrally, on a monthly basis, through the accounts of one of the largest Russian banks, which are open to all under contract. Our sailors mostly work as part of the permanent crew who are like-minded collectives related experience working together, one purpose and common interests aimed at the professional performance of the contract.
