Ares Ship Management

Ares Ship Management (Ares Gemi ?sletmeciligi A.S.) is established in May 2009 The company is a successor of Ursa Maritime that has been involved in Chemical tanker sector since 2001. Main activities of Ares either directly or via its partnerships in different companies are construction, ownership and operation of Chemical Tankers. The projects Ares (ex-Ursa) has so far been involved in, consists of 11 IMO II Tankers all built in Turkey, two of which were owned and operated inhouse, four sold outright basis upon completion, and four sold into a JV partnership where Ares indirectly maintains its interest.

Ares is run entirely in-house, providing full technical, crewing and commercial management services to its fleet, and has a construction supervision team located at the Tuzla Shipyard where its affiliated companies have a continuous shipbuilding activity. Ares presently operates three IMO II Tankers namely, 2003 built 5500 dwt MT Zeugman, 2009 built 5500 dwt MT Hitra and 2009 built 5545 dwt MT R.C Behar. Furthermore the projects still under construction are 5 x 14,000 dwt IMO II Tankers due to be completed and delivered until mid 2010. Ares plans to expand its fleet with entry of further units as they are built and delivered
