AVANT Seafarers Training Center

“AVANT” Seafarers Training Center was established in April 2003 as a maritime training service provider by capable and experienced maritime professionals. “AVANT” has developed in recent years to one of the biggest training centers in Ukraine having statutory license by the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

“AVANT” standards of training are founded in accordance with the provisions of STCW 78, as amended, Regulation I/8 for “Quality Standards System” (QSS) monitored, approved and certified in line with the training standards

of ABS (American Bureau of Shipping). ABS is a QSS organization and approves STCW training courses on behalf of the United States Coast Guard.

“AVANT” training facilities are located in different areas of Odessa, Iljichyovsk and Yuzhniy for the convenience of seafarers. Each training facility covers different aspects of seafarers training needs and is equipped in a suitable manner for providing quality training courses.

All instructors conducting training at “AVANT” have acquired years of expertise in the global maritime field as well as long term experience at sea providing quality training to seafarers in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and maritime industry recommendations.

The training courses provided at “AVANT”, including simulator training, are carried out with a view to enhancing the seafarers’ skills, knowledge and competence and keeping up with the latest technological changes in the maritime world.

“AVANT” offers a series of training courses for the continuing education and training of seafarers which can be found listed in other Chapters.

All AVANT's instructors/examiners have successefyli passed compulsory STCW Course TTT (Train the trainers), required by Regulation I/6.
