Cap Energy is an independent upstream oil and gas company focused on the exploration, production, and development of conventional oil and gas assets in sub-Saharan Africa.
The Company aims to build a world-class portfolio of oil and gas assets by targeting known, under-explored, hydrocarbon basins in sub-Saharan Africa. This will be achieved by engaging in local partnerships and joint-venture agreements with Cap’s strong network in the African exploration and production sector.
The Directors have a combined total of over 90 years of experience in Africa and have an excellent track record of managing successful E&P and related businesses in the region. The Company prizes its networks and relationships in Africa, which have been built over a number of decades and through an array of commercial and institutional projects.
Cap Energy has strong capability and resources based on its competent and dedicated Board of Directors, its strong alliances in Africa, and a profound operational knowledge of the African oil and gas industry.
Offshore Drilling Platform Safety
Our offshore oil rig drillers don't require a college education, as most of the training, including safety techniques, will be done by Cap Energy Bissau. Additionally, Cap will train new hires on drilling simulators until they are ready to be put on a rig. These simulators allow you to get a wide range of experience for not only routine operations but emergency situations such as stuck-pipe prevention and pressure drilling. Cap requires employees to continue training during their on-shore time off the rig.
Skilled Workers
Qualification requirements include, degrees, diplomas, certificates and technical training. Some occupation classifications include Engineers, Geoscience Professionals, Operators, Business Services, Technicians, Technologists and Trades persons. Job titles such as Drillers, Surveyors, Heavy Equipment Operators, Class 01 and 03 drivers, Engineers, Electricians, Mechanics, Millwrights, Welders and Pipefitters E.t.c.
Entry-level Workers
These jobs do not require academic qualifications higher than a grade 12 diploma. Safety Certifications are key to these roles, Job titles to include: Pipeline Labourer, Helper (Perforator Loader, Tubing, Well Pulling, Wireline), Oilfield Labourer, Shop Hand, Swamper, Seismic Helper and Leasehand
Working Conditions
Outdoor Work – work is primarily outdoors and you can work in -40+ to 30+ degrees Celsius. Work doesn’t stop when it’s cold outside, so make sure you have the appropriate work gear for every season.
Labour Intensive – requires physical fitness; may involve heavy lifting, pulling, agility, walking long distances etc.
Overtime – is a regular requirement. Shifts range from 12-14 hours a day
