Komrowski maritime activities date back to the early 20’s when own traded steel cargoes were shipped on board of own river and sea-going motor vessels. International charter activities started in 1953 in the newly founded Komrowski Befrachtungskontor KG. Today's chartering activity is done on worldwide competitive basis, however, Komrowski’s own tonnage is commercially managed by Magellan Chartering in Hamburg being part of DS Schiffahrt.

In 1973 Komrowski and Amazsa started in Bilbao a ship management entity to supply crews to international ship owners. Today the company’s activities comprise ship management and insucrance services, logistic solutions, warehousing and other selected maritime related services.

Additional maritime services are also being offered from Curacao where Komrowski started own activities through New World Shipping Co. N.V. in 1972.

Maritime research services to our customers are offered through Montan Alternative Shipping GmbH and trust business is offered by Kattrepel Treuhand GmbH. Both companies are domiciled in Hamburg.

Our independent Insurance Agency Assekuranz-Kontor Montan GmbH provides transport and hull underwriting and offers services to the insurance industry to various European clients from its Hamburg premises.
