Ionada develops, manufactures, and markets exhaust gas cleaning systems for the marine and power generation industries. Ionada’s team includes international scientists, engineers and technicians that have developed breakthroughs in technologies for emission reductions.

Our Origins: In 2010, with the support of the National Research Council Canada-Transport Canada, University of Waterloo, Ryerson University, research began into a zero discharge exhaust gas scrubbing technology. In 2013 the research team led by Edoardo Panziera, produced the first functioning SOx scrubber. The results were promising enough to attract the first angel investor which led to the spin out and founding of Ionada to commercialize the technology.
