Krey Schiffahrts GmbH

Krey Schiffahrts GmbH was founded in 1992 in Simonswolde by graduate shipbuilding engineer Mr. Georg Krey as sole shareholder for the purpose of managing seagoing vessels.

In the beginning, the company managed 3 vessels which were set out for trading in the european coastal waters.

In 1995, the Company moved to Leer, Ostfriesland in order to jointly manage, among another maritime service provider, further 25 units of seagoing vessels.

In 1999, Krey Schiffahrts GmbH ordered 4 geared Multipurpose Vessels with a deadweight capacity of 8.250 mt. The last unit was delivered at the end of 2000. As from this day, the Companies together managed a strong fleet of over 30 vessels.
