The Mastermind Group was founded in 1999. Principally a ship-owning company, Mastermind has expanded also into ship-management with the establishment of Mastermind Shipmanagement Ltd. ™ (MSM). The Mastermind Group holds also a substantial ownership in the Cypriot investment company Navinvest Holdings Limited, which has specialized in ship-owning.

MSM technically manages a fleet of more than 14 vessels, which consist of dry bulk, break-bulk and multipurpose vessels.

The MSM fleet is diversified in a different series of vessels; 33.000 dwt multipurpose bulk carriers; 6.500 dwt, 18.000 dwt and 26.000 dwt multipurpose heavy lift tween deck vessels, 4.500 dwt, 8.000 dwt multipurpose single deck vessels, which are all worldwide trading. MSM is presently developing a new very shallow draft 17.000 dwt multipurpose tween deck design with 160 mt deck crane capacity. The vessels will be propelled by a fuel efficient electronic contraoled 2-stoke engine. MSM is also presently designing a most innovative 37.000 dwt bulk carrier. All MSM designs meet the environmental standards of the future and take already due consideration of the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) as developed by the IMO.

MSM prides itself in being very innovative and instrumental in developing its new ship designs with shipyards in Japan and China. The MSM vessels are initially developed by the company’s founder and have found great attraction in the international ship-owing arena. The yards have eventually succeeded delivering more than 50 vessels from each of our designs to various ship-owners worldwide.

To cover the different time zones as efficiently as possible and in order to have closest contact with the ships trading world wide MSM operates strategic ‘satellite’ technical offices and representations.
