Mecit ?etinkaya, elder of the family, had started working at very early age around 1926. And many years later he established ?etinkaya Nakliyat ve Ticaret Kollektif ?irketi in 1975, giving equal shares of the company to his children, and had continued his professional life in this company until passed away (for more information about Mecit ?etinkaya, the real founder and father of our family, see his page in our website).

Mecit ?etinkaya, the youngest son who was named after our father Mecit ?etinkaya, parted his way with his siblings and established Mecit ?etinkaya Denizcilik Ltd. in 1997 and Manta Denizcilik Nakliyat Ltd. in 1998. These are the very continued existence of the companies founded by the late Mecit ?etinkaya.

The father Mecit ?etinkaya taught his son Mecit ?etinkaya the love of sea and the tricks of maritime shipping business in his company and transferred all his knowledge and experience of 50 years in shipping business to his son while he was alive. Mecit ?etinkaya, the son, has been nourished in shipping business from a long established tradition, gained experience in successful business activities conducted while his father was alive. After his father passed away, Mecit ?etinkaya has continued its activities as a very successful businessman in maritime commerce, shipping and forwarding sectors.
