NMDC is one of the leading companies providing dredging, reclamation, and marine construction work in the Middle East. Our fleet mainly operates within the Middle East, however, our technical capabilities can be extended to any part of the Globe. Operating from a modern well equipped premises, which includeS multi-discipline workshops, slip ways and fully supported administration and technical departments, we are located in Mussafah.
Today our dredging operation capability in a highly sophisticated business with the help of the latest modern technology helps our customers not only meet their needs but to exceed their expectations. Our fleet consists of an array of Cutter Suction Dredgers (CSD); ranging in capacity from the small Beaver dredger Jananah (1,795 KW) to our most powerful automated dredger the Al Sadr (20,725 KW). Our dredgers are supported by our Marine Department that have tugs and multicat crafts, and ably assisted by A-Frame barges wherever necessary. It is our endeavor to keep reviewing and expanding our fleet to meet the exacting demands of our customers.
The reclamation works we undertake are carried out in accordance with the contract specifications with minimal tolerances using appropriate technologically advanced land based equipment, that are fully serviced and maintained by our mobile workshops. As a value–add service, NMDC has the in-house capability to provide soil improvement services for the reclaimed or existing land.
Our repertoire of dredging and reclamation capability includes; pre and post survey works, designing of the Construction Environment Management Plan (CEMP), monitoring for the compliance and proactive QHSE program throughout the project, periodic reporting of progress to the client and on time execution and delivery.
NMDC has executed several dredging projects fulfilling various clientele requirements.
Survey work carried out is with the use of RTK GPS and GTS equipment for the pre-reclamation projects and to build hydro-graphic survey vessels which are equipped with the latest dual frequency echo-sounders and sonar equipment. These equipment log data directly to on board computers in order to facilitate volumetric calculations for simultaneously carrying out the plotting of the detailed survey charts during survey operations.
We have about 2600 competent and capable workforce, both national and expatriates who are skilled and well-motivated.
Our project personnel are fully trained and equipped to implement and achieve all project objectives. Planning scenarios is a continuous on-going development exercise we engage in, to implement the best practice, at the same time optimize the cost saving to increase the highest return on investment for all our esteemed customers. With this underlying objective we have implemented a rigorous and continuously monitored Quality system (QHSE), that details all minute details of the project execution process. Occupational Health and Safety considerations are the corner stone of our quality assurance system at NMDC.
Environmental issues are researched, documented and addressed so as to minimize the impact of our activities and this include diligent handling of waste products and preventative maintenance of our equipment through a scheduled maintenance services. We are particularly proud of the growth impact on the Mangroves located in the ALDAR Al Gurm Resort as well as the wild life. This exemplifies our commitment in furthering our business objectives balancing this with the impact on the eco-system most of our projects encounter. We strongly believe in our governance and corporate social responsibilities.
Man-power planning is a continuous exercise, planned and monitored to meet the immediate, short and long run objectives of the company. All our staff are exceptionally qualified and there is a periodic training –need analysis undertaken to isolate skills and knowledge gaps that are supplemented with structured training programs .
Adhering to strict Regulatory compliances, regular monitoring of the project process and with a capable staff to support, we always ensure the timely delivery of our services. Transparency ,Openness and readiness to improve are the key factors that our personnel abide by in all our day to day operations.
