East Africa Indian Ocean High Risk Area (HRA)

OPS Global has successfully completed well over 800 deployments through the Indian Ocean HRA for a variety of clients onboard an array of vessel types.

A dedicated Vessel Manager co-ordinates each operation with round the clock operational support to ensure effective product provision.
Our strategically located armories at multiple points through the HRA grant us the capability to accommodate client vessels on all HRA transit routes .
Vessel Specific teams ensure compliance with Owner, Charterer and Flag State requirements.
Professional, ex-military teams – interviewed, vetted and trained by OPS and working with in the OPS Rules for the Use of Force.
OPS Global intelligence and risk support for the duration of each transit.

West Africa (WAF)

OPS Global recognised the growing concern of piracy incidents within the Gulf of Guinea and as such, in June 2012 launched its first operation within the region. We have a dedicated West African operations team with a regional manager based in Togo committed to securing our clients vessels off Senegal, Ivory Coast, Congo Brazza, Ghana, Togo, Benin and Nigeria. To date we have successfully completed in excess of 500 operations in the region.

Depending on owner, charterer , P&I Club preference we can provide our clients with a degree of variety in our services provided off the pre-listed WAF states:

Local armed Navy personnel only
Local armed Navy personnel with additional British liaison officers
British Liaison officers only
Naval gun boat escorts (region specific)

Given the complexities of operating within the WAF region, OPS holds all of the mandatory MOUs and agreements necessary along with having 24 hour access to legal advice.

Port Security

OPS has developed a practical approach to ensuring ports and port facilities meet the ISPS Code. All our security consultants have undertaken Port Facility Security Officer courses and have a H&S course relevant to the job role.
