Prime Marine Management was incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Liberia in April 1999 as a ship management company.

Based in Athens, Greece, Prime Marine Management has established a reputation in the international shipping industry for operating and maintaining a fleet with high standards of performance, reliability and safety.

It provides comprehensive management services for the vessels including technical supervision, such as repairs, maintenance and inspections, safety and quality, crewing and training, as well as supply provisioning. Commercial management services include operations, chartering, sale and purchase, post-fixture administration, accounting, freight invoicing and collection and insurance.

PRIME Tanker & PRIME GAS are global providers of seaborne transportation for refined petroleum products, light chemicals, naphtha, LPG and ammonia along global shipping routes. PRIME\'s management team has more than eighty years of combined industry experience having been through a number of cycles. The company was originally founded in 1999 and since then it has managed to grow substantially. Since 1st of June 2013 Prime\'s Management Fleet allocation has been re-organized as follows: a) Prime Tanker Management Inc: This Company is managing the Fleet of Oil and Chemical Tankers. b) Prime Gas Management Inc: This Company is managing the Fleet of Gas Carriers.

PRIME Tanker & PRIME Gas currently operate a fleet of 36 double-hull Product / Chemical tankers and LPG carriers with a carrying capacity of over 2.4 million deadweight tons, an average Product Tankers\' age of 5.2 years and an equivalent for LPG & Chemical Tankers of 8.9 years. PRIME Tanker is included in the top 25% of Tanker Managers - upper quadrille - based on its overall performance as indicated by good records in ship vetting and office audits , port state control records, lack of incidents & terminal performance records. PRIME Tanker & PRIME Gas current counterparties are some of the largest and best-known producers, traders and transporters of oil / petroleum products as well as of LPG respectively.

PRIME has established a reputation in the international shipping community for the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability, all of which are critical factors for the customers that demand dependable vessels. These have been recently verified by a series of vessel & office audit by a series of Oil Majors such as BP & Chevron. PRIME places great emphasis in attracting and retaining qualified crew members for the proper operation and safety of the vessels and have been accredited with the ISO-9001 & ISO 14001 certificates. PRIME is also registered with Lloyds Register for its Safety, Quality, Environmental & Security Management Systems.
