TORM Marine
TORM was founded in 1889. With headquarters in Copenhagen and activities worldwide, TORM is listed on NASDAQ OMX in Copenhagen and New York.
Mission
To connect the world through safe, responsible and efficient sea transport.
Vision
To be the leading, most profitable player in our core businesses through the quality of our people, ships and practices.
Values
TORM Leadership Philosophy guides us in the way we do business. The three overall dimensions are Performance, Relations and Personal Leadership.
Changing Trim strategy: Changing the course for new profitability and resilience
The strategic focus for TORM remains on the product tanker & bulk segment, where TORM will continuously optimize earnings with a flexible approach between trading and ship-owning activities. To support these activities, the company will further develop its strategic risk management approach to rigorously monitor risk and return profiles.
The platform for TORM’s new profitability is four strategic cornerstones:
Customer: Putting customers and their needs in focus
Resilience: Taking TORM through challenging times
Sophistication: Accelerating towards a more sophisticated level of delivery on structure and processes
Leadership: Realising aspirations through ambitious leadership
The Tanker division will continue to build on strengths as a global leader to benefit from a market recovery in the clean product tank segments. The goal is to consistently outperform benchmarks in the spot-market.
The Bulk division will expand bulk business profitably by becoming an integrated freight service provider. The goal is to ensure a positive profit margin in all markets conditions.
The Shipowning and S&P division will leverage relations and experience to become a leading asset player and create value through optionality.
