Tsakos Columbia Shipmanagement (“TCM”) S.A. provides management, operation and crewing services for a diversified marine fleet consisting of tanker, container and dry cargo vessels for approximately 70 ships with capacity of about 8.0 million deadweight tons (dwt). TCM offers fleet technical management, marine operations and crewing services for a variety of vessels. The fleet includes all types of tanker vessels from small product carriers to VLCCs Container vessels up to 5000 TEUs and bulk carriers upto 180000 tons DWT.
TCM was established in July 2010 in Athens, Greece as a joint venture between Tsakos Shipping and Trading S.A. and Schoeller Holdings Ltd, the owner and operator of Columbia Shipmanagement Ltd. TCM was created to combine the considerable ship owning and operations experience of Tsakos Shipping and Trading S.A. with the best-in-class ship management and client service skills of Columbia Shipmanagement.
Tsakos Shipping and Trading S.A. was founded in Piraeus, Greece by Capt. Panagiotis N. Tsakos in 1970. By focusing on high quality and safe ship management and building long-term relationships with oil majors, state-owned oil companies and first-class charterers, Tsakos Shipping & Trading has grown into one of the world’s most successful shipping organizations.
Mr. Heinrich Schoeller founded Columbia Shipmanagement Ltd in Limassol, Cyprus in 1978. Since then, Columbia Shipmanagement has become one of the most respected names in ship management.
