ISM Quality Management

Co-Management & Commercial Management

Crewing

WINDMARINE Crewing certainly recognises that one of the most important assets for any shipowner are its crews. Having a highly trained, quality crew is vital in today's challenging environment. We work very closely with training academies and maritime schools in the Ukraine and in the Russia.

Usually our crews comprise Eastern Europe officers and ratings. All of our crew members are trained to meet the very latest international requirements, as well as those of our customers and our company's own standards. Crews are fully compliant with all of the IMO regulations and have the required STCW-95 certificates. Ratings have the necessary STCW certificates, including those for watch-keeping, tanker safety, fire-fighting and first aid.

In this fast moving industry WINDMARINE Crewing also makes sure all of our crew members are kept up-to-date with the very latest developments, particularly where it comes to safety and technology.

Safety training courses in accordance with SOLAS and STCW ‘95 are offered and these are followed up by refresher courses to make sure everyone is aware of their responsibilities onboard. But as well as the regulatory courses, WINDMARINE Crewing is keen to offer additional training courses. For officers we offer courses in cargo handling, simulator training, manufacturers' courses, GMDSS refreshers, LNG simulators and ship security. In addition, computers onboard have training/refresher courses.

Our crews are the face of WINDMARINE Crewing and they come in direct contact with our customers. As a service company we consider this an important aspect of their job. The ship-shore relationship is another important part of their job and we hold regular meetings in Odessa with all the officers to increase awareness about what is happening onboard our vessels and ashore. Retention of our crews also leads to continuity and allows the crews to build-up years of specialist knowledge and experience.
