Deep Sea Employment Requirements:
ENGINE:
U.S. Coast Guard Third Assistant Engineer's License or higher rating, steam or motor, unlimited horsepower.
Refrigeration Recovery Certification, Hazardous Materials Certification.
Current: STCW, Passport, Merchant Mariner's Document, Drug-Free Card and Benzene Card (tankers only)
DECK:
U.S. Coast Guard Third Mate's License or higher rating, steam and motor, unlimited tonnage.
Current: STCW, Radar Observer, FCC GMDSS Operator, Hazardous Materials Certification, Passport, Merchant Mariner's Document, Drug-Free Card and Benzene Card (tankers only).
ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN & RADIO OFFICER:
U.S. Coast Guard Radio Officer License, Hazardous Materials Certification, Radar Repair Certificate.
Current STCW, Passport, Merchant Mariner's Document, Drug-Free Card and Benzene Card (tankers only).
RADIO-ELECTRONICS OFFICER:
GMDSS Maintainer, Hazardous Materials Certification.
Current: STCW, Passport, Merchant Mariner's Document, Drug-Free Card and Benzene Card (tankers only).
