OPERATIONS COORDINATOR – OFFSHORE WIND
Our client is a leading player in offshore wind energy. For the technical operation of a German offshore
wind farms under construction they are seeking several operations coordinators (m/f). You will work in
8 hours shifts to establish 24/7 monitoring of the wind farm and serve as a single point of contact for all
maintenance contractors and German authorities. The Operations Coordinator is responsible for safe
near-range offshore logistics through tracking all vessel, helicopter and people movements.
In this function you report directly to the Operations Manager and are supported by a team of technical
specialists working during office hours. The complete team will be based in the Operations Control
Center in Emden.
Responsibilities:
Monitor operational parameters of the wind farm and management of alarms
Monitor activities the wind farm using the surveillance video system, vessel tracking (AIS) and
helicopter transponder system.
Keep track of changing metocean conditions (wind, wave, tidal)
Identification and classification of work activities
Log and categorize all incidents
Monitoring of incident resolution and escalation
Coordinate all transport from/to or within the wind farm
Register (un)permitted downtime and response times in case of failures
Issue permits to work (PTW)
External interfaces:
Cooperates with grid monitoring operators and control room of wind turbine supplier
All communication with project vessels and helicopters
Single point of contact for Naval and Aviation authorities (WSD, WSA, MRCC, MLZ, WBV)
Counterpart for planners and foremen of service providers regarding work schedules, offshore
logistics and actual progress of maintenance activities
Requirements:
You have a technical background; ideally you are experienced in shipping or in offshore oil
and gas.
You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical role, ideally in an maintenance or
offshore environment
Experienced in working with interdisciplinary and international teams
Decisive, well organized, strong communicator, team player
Perfect in German and good knowledge of English
