· evaluating problematic facilities and determining what maintenance and repair services need to be performed.
· replacing fixtures, fittings and general appliances for guests and crew, ensuring minimum inconvenience.
· organising the day to day running of the hotel maintenance department and planning future rotation schedules.
· being capable of delivering technical training to hotel maintenance team to ensure all have requisite skills.
· inspecting and maintaining all maintenance equipment and tools and inventory.
· evaluating each worker's performance to ensure quality operations.
· additional responsibilities include developing and implementing maintenance procedures.
Qualifications:
Suitable candidates should possess the following experience and qualifications:
· Significant experience of hotel maintenance ideally on board cruise ship
· Must have a proven track record within building maintenance: tiling, painting & decorating carpentry work etc.
· Line management experience
· Excellent English language proficiency – both spoken and written
