For one of our clients we are looking for a Chief Engineer. You will work at a pontoon, which is ballasted to the ground. The pontoon will assist in a pipeline replacement project. Between the two present pontoons there will be connecting gangways up front and at the back. Supply of fresh water, fuel, stores and provisions will be done with 20 ft (tank) containers.
Tasks of the crew:
– Making sure the technical systems on board runs smoothly on the pontoon and in the accommodation modules, such as power generation, fresh water distribution, sewage system etc.
– Oranization of deck dept: coordinating mooring of multicast or supportive vessels, (un)loading (tank) containers (and connecting them on manifolds, pumping to and from day tanks), assisting catering crew with logistics on materials from transport containers / reefers to the mess / galley module, keeping things tidy on deck.
– Being a ‘backbone’ organisation for emergency situations (fire, abandoning ship, MoB)
