Qualifications and Trainings:
The following valid certificates are a minimum requirement for this function:
-     BOSIET + HUET
-     Certificate of Competence for the vessel;
-     Flag state certificate;
-     Flag state Seaman’s Book;
-     Flag state Medical certificate;
-     Basic training certificate (PST:A-VI/1-1, BFF:A-VI/1-2, EFA:A-VI/1-3, PSSR:A-VI/1-4);
-     Proficiency In Survival Craft And Fast Rescue Boats Certificate(A-VI/2);
-     Medical First Aid (STCW A-VI/4-1to3).
  Competency & experience;
-     Good command of the working language of the vessel, verbally and in writing;
-     Competent to undertake the tasks, duties and responsibilities as 2nd Engineer;
-     Knowledge of the applicable codes, guidelines and standards;
-     Knowledge of the equipment and procedures;
-     Relevant work experience;
-     Understanding of electronics and hydraulics.
