Patriot is currently accepting résumé for Chief Mate/Master and Engine Licensed Officer positions for its vessels in Reserve Operating Status (ROS).  Two of these vessels are located in New Orleans, LA, two are located in Baltimore, MD and one in Norfolk, VA.

Individuals taking these positions may be considered for future openings aboard Patriot’s other managed vessels including the Watson Class gas turbine LMSRs, the SLNC Pax product tanker and the MARAD Ready Reserve Force vessels in Alameda, California or Beaumont, Texas. (See below employment information)  All applicants must have or be able to obtain the following requirements which vary by contract:  MSC-required training, a secret clearance, membership in a Patriot-contracted union, and proper USCG unlimited endorsement(s). Watson Class LMSR Employment

Patriot Contract Services was awarded the Military Sealift Command (MSC) contact for the operation and management of the “Watson Class” LMSR vessels.  The Watson Class consists of eight gas turbine-powered vessels.  The vessels under this contract, are located at various ports around the world.

While most positions aboard these vessels are filled at this time, PCS is accepting resumes for all Deck and Engine Licensed Officer positions, and for the Storekeeper position, for the Watson class LMSRs.   All applicants must have or be able to obtain the following requirements:  MSC-required training, a secret clearance, membership in a Patriot-contracted union, and proper USCG unlimited endorsement(s) (e.g. USCG Gas Turbine Endorsement for Engineers).  Applicants must also meet MSC’s medical requirements.

Patriot Contract Services is currently seeking resumes for the following positions on its other vessels:

  • Officer In Charge-Chief Mate - Must possess a USCG Unlimited Chief Mate License and valid MMD
  • 1st Assistant Engineer - Must possess a USCG Unlimited 1st Engineer License and valid MMD
  • Store Keeper – maintains records of spare parts and supplies aboard ship.
  • MDR – Medical Department Representative, must have completed a 40 hour Medical Care – Person in Charge course meeting USCG and STCW requirements as well as MSC required training.

Certain positions require Government Training.

Applicants must be able to meet the eligibility required for a security clearance.
