Job Tasks
The Roughneck will be responsible for handling drill pipes, casing and drilling equipment on the drill floor as well as carrying out first line maintenance on the equipment as instructed by the Lead Driller, Driller or Assistant Driller.
Furthermore, they will make and break rotary connections using rig tongs, handle tubular goods, elevators and slips and operate semi-automated pipe-handling machines. The Roughneck / Floorhand also will participate in the daily cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance work on the drill floor and in the shale shaker room. This position reports to the Assistant Driller.
Requirements
At least 2 years offshore experience on the drill floor and deck
Valid Basic Offshore certificates including Banksman (Mandatory)
Fluent in English
Resident in The Netherlands
