Position – Marine Tug Master
Location – Fujairah Port, UAE
Exp – 3+ years on (ASD Tug)

Salary budget & Other benefits – The starting salary will be Dhs.12,900/- Monthly inclusive not negotiable. Candidate will avail in addition to the monthly salary the normal benefits of yearly 30 days leave, Air tickets and medical insurance coverage.

Job purpose –
Responsible for the navigation and the seaworthiness of Tug boats and for facilitating the berthing and un- berthing of vessels arriving at or leaving the port, while implementing and maintaining total compliance with the Safety Management system in accordance with Marine Department safety and environmental policy.

QUALIFICATIONS
 Master- less than 500 GT regulation II/3
 Valid STCW 95 certification.
 U.A.E Federal Transport Authority (FTA) Endorsement

EXPERIENCE
 3 years experience as Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) Harbour Tug Master
SKILLS
 Good Communication skills in written and spoken English, Computer literate.
Operational Management
 Assume responsibility as the Department representative on the tug with ultimate onboard authority to take all decisions in relation to securing and maintaining safe ship operations and for effective
environmental protection.
 Provide tug assistance, as part of a team, for the berthing and un-berthing of vessels, either alongside the berth or at the offshore mooring, ensuring that all operations

Maintenance
 Ensure the tug remains seaworthy and compliant by undergoing regular status and classification surveys.
 Plan and supervise the ongoing program for onboard maintenance in order to ensure the tug is in optimum operational status and the asset value is protected.
Emergency Response
 Maintain preparedness for the first line emergency response by ensuring fire fighting, oil spill and other equipment and materials are fully operational and available
Communication
 Establish and maintain communication with the tower and pilot for the effective co-ordination of berthing and un- berthing of vessels.
People Management
 Plan, allocate and manage daily activities by issuing proper orders and instructions in a clear and simple manner so that crew members are in no doubt as to what is expected of them during
operations.
