Due to expansion of our fleet, we are looking for candidates for the following position in our Den Helder, the Netherlands, office:
Superintendent (2 fte)
In this function you assess and report the technical conditions and operational expenses for an assigned group of vessels in the fleet. You are responsible for technical-related unplanned off hires, port state control and class inspections. Furthermore, you maintain communication with the Operations Department on day-to-day matters in respect of voyage operations. You schedule and supervise planned and unplanned repairs, inspections and dry dockings. As Superintendent you are responsible for the class status of the vessel and for arranging surveys. You work in a team with a Crewing Officer and a Purchaser and report to the Manager Ship Management.

To excel in this function you should have a Higher Nautical or Technical Education diploma and extensive experience as Chief Engineer/First Engineer and/or in ship repair/ship management. In addition, you have strong planning and organisational skills, are willing to travel frequently and able to work under pressure. Good verbal and written communication and reporting skills in English are essential.
