Pool Boy
The contract foresees 10 months on board +\- 2 month. Salary is 670 USD + 260 EURO and paid only during the period spent on board. Employer pays all travel costs. Age between 18 and 45 years old.
Requirements:
1. Documented experience in a similar position on board a Cruise vessel or in a shoreside hotel (including Job Training), or one completed contract in this position.
2. Surveillance, sanitation, cleanliness, service to all outdoor Guest areas generally and Poolside areas specifically. Positioning, cleaning and safe storage of deck chairs and sun beds in all outer deck areas. To position, clean and re-store deck chairs and sun beds, to provide a continuous pool towel service, maintain continuous service surveillance, and cleanliness to all loose furniture and fittings (deck chairs, tables, etc) to swimming pool, (indoor and outdoor) sun and sports areas.To offer and provide service, assistance or information to guests on deck. Public Relations is an essential requirement for this position.To clean deck ashtrays, keep the decks clean throughout the day, return lost property to the PO. To assist where necessary with the collection of glasses and plates. To assist wherever necessary access to open deck areas for guests with disabilities (wheelchairs etc), to deliver buffet food for disabled Guests to their deck chairs. To maintain the inventory of pool (and beach) towels at the assigned points of distribution.
3. Fluent in oral and written English (working & Safety language of the Company). Ability to speak, read and write in any major other languages (German, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Russian, Chinese etc.) is considered a major advantage that could eventually influence the selection for some positions.
4. Non-Smoker.
5. To satisfy the requirements of the laws of the Flag State of the Ship regarding health and physical requirements, and to have current documentation to certify that all medical requirements relating to this position are met according to the specific requirements of the job.
