Job Description:
Working as a Flotilla Skipper for Ocean Elements, you will have a passion and enthusiasm for all things water based! As an experienced Flotilla Skipper you will not only be in charge of guiding guests from A to B in the safest way possible, but with your in depth knowledge of the Lefkada and surrounding islands area, brief guests on scenic and interesting routes. You will also work closely with your flotilla host organising evening activities and helping make sure that guests are always having a great time. You will be happy living in close quarters, will not get seasick and possess a strong knowledge of Yacht engine maintenance and general boat maintenance.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
o Be responsible for the welfare and safe keeping of guests, as well as your team.
o Be central point of contact & knowledge for the guests, representing the company in a professional, cordial and helpful manner.
o Interacting with all guests in a professional yet relaxed fashion both during the day and evening
o Conduct morning briefings, safety and orientation briefings; sail controls, deck controls and navigational aids on guest arrival
o Represent the company in a professional, well presented manner at all times and in compliance with the company uniform policy
o Plan, organise & provide an engaging, inclusive and exciting range of activities.
o Follow out routine maintenance checks on all equipment.
o Carry out maintenance and general boat repairs as required
To come join us in Greece this summer you must be 18 or over before the season commences.
To qualify as a UK posted worker we require proof of the following –
UK/EU passport
UK National insurance number
UK Bank account

o Promoting other in-resort sales (tuition, merchandise)
o Promoting Vassiliki hotel visits for kit rentals and private tuition
Customer Focus
o Be central point of contact & knowledge, representing the company in a professional, cordial and helpful manner.
o Tailor packages according to potential customer’s needs and requirements.
o Interacting with all guests in a professional yet relaxed fashion
o Attending evening social events e.g. Welcome Meal and Farewell evening Meal
Operational
o Check weather forecasts and routes to ensure safety remains the highest priority for our guests.
o Routine maintenance checks on all equipment and completion of maintenance records.
o Run evening social events.
o Carrying out first aid and completing accident forms as necessary
o Assisting other departments as per operational needs
o Liaise with Land Based, Operational Manager and / or Boat Yard
