Job Description:
- The electrician will be responsible for
- Repair and installation of electronic equipment on the vessels
- Radar, AIS, Transducer
- Generator, alternator
- Troubleshooting
- Servicing and setting up a maintenance schedule for preventive maintenance
- Repair and installation of electronic equipment on the vessels
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to adhere to workplace rules
- Works closely with the engine repair department head and team members to carry out preventive maintenance and an annual maintenance program
- Strong ability to work independently and to respect the deadlines
- Keeps all necessary tools in good working condition, keep their workplace neat and clean
- Follow all safety rules and regulations in job, departmental procedures and instructions
- Flexible and team player – able to work on own initiative
- Ability to effectively communicate professionally in writing or verbally with all levels of personnel
- Minimum technical school graduate, OND or equivalent
- Experience with servicing alternators
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors
