- Have the overall responsibility of all the activities onboard including the safety of the vessel, its cargo and persons onboard.
- Representative of the Company on-board the vessel.
- Operate the vessel with the applicable International/National Laws, Rules and Regulations.
- Motivate the crew to honour the ship owners safety policy and applicable International/National Laws, Rules and
Regulations in their tasks and im-plement.
- Has the highest on-board authority to make decisions regarding safety.
- Coordinate the activities on-board the vessel.
- Report all safety and environmental protection related activities.
- Assure that the crew have necessary certificates according to Minimum Safe Manning cert and STCW.
- Assure that the vessel certificates are up to date.
- Responsible for the safe Navigation of the vessel.
- Keep contact with DPA, other Company Managers and Operations team.
