Vessels IT Coordinator to join the ICT Department

DRILLING OFFSHORE VESSELS IT COORDINATOR

The Drilling Offshore division of Saipem Spa is currently seeking a Vessels IT Coordinator to join the ICT Department.

Mission:

• Ensure the IT systems are adequate and operational to allow Drilling Offshore division vessels to operate in proper conditions;
• Coordinate with vessels key persons to plan and define the new IT requirements for assets management and project operation;
• Coordinate different providers and teams in charge of IT production on vessels;
• Participate to the infrastructural design of IT systems to manage new business IT solutions to be implemented on board;
• Support the digitalization initiatives in the area of the vessels.

Tasks:

IT Demand and Operation management

• To ensure the proper delivery of existing IT services provided by Corporate IT and vendors
• Collect the requirements of Vessels Assets Managers and IT referents on board
• Analyze requirements and define the proper solutions in the following areas:
• • Telecommunications (Vsat, radio)
  • Infrastructure
  • Workplace
  • Specific applications
• Coordinate with Corporate IT and IT Adaptive Sourcing vendors to request new services
• Ensure the implementation of approved solutions
• Elaborate and maintain updated the cartography of all IT systems (hw, sw, network, and data), including industrial IT systems

Planning, Budget & Reporting

• Elaborate and follow the budget of IT services used by vessels, taking care to identify the part related to assets and the one related to operation
• Provide reports to Division IT management, asset management and operation management in the area of competence
• Elaborate and maintain updated the cartography of all IT systems (hw, sw, network, and data), including industrial IT systems

Requirements:

• Technical IT education
• More than 5 years of experience in IT management and operation of critical environment
• Understanding of the O&G / construction area requirements
• Strong interest for digital transformation of business processes
• Good Knowledge of IT technologies:

• Expertise in Network & Telecom (LAN, WAN, Satellite)
• IT solution architecture
• IT Operating System and virtualization management and support
• IT Business Risk and security
• IT project management essentials

• Advanced abilities in:

• Shaping solutions
• Reactivity and proactivity
• Collaboration in an international and multicultural environment
• Entrepreneurial spirit

• Good written and spoken English language skills.
