HEAD OF HOUSEKEEPING – EUROPE
Head Housekeeper for large yacht build and ongoing (HHY322)
Eastern Europeans preferred. European location. Can you start ASAP?
We are looking for a hardworking and experienced Head Housekeeper with 2 years’ experience on large yachts – 100-m+ or Cruise/Passenger Ships.
You will report directly to the Chief Stewardess:
Are you experienced in/have knowledge of:
• Leading a housekeeping team of 6.
• Laundry management.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Product knowledge.
• Good inventory, purchasing and stock control skills.
• Computer literate in MS Office
• Ability to work well with other yacht departments and can quickly adapt to change.
You will be contracted for a 5-day week during the yard period which is estimated for +/- 6 months. Then you will move into a Seagoing contract once the yacht becomes operational.
You will share land-based accommodation near the shipyard and will be provided with transportation to and from the yard during the build period.
A daily food allowance will be provided until the onboard galley becomes operational.
Desired Qualifications & Attributes:
STCW95 Basic Safety Training, incl. new security training certificate
ENG1 medical cert.
Impeccable appearance/personal presentation,
Fluent in English – well-spoken and polite
Confident and knowledgeable.
Good references both written and verbal.
Hard working is always a good attribute.
Age requirements, 24-30 years ** Female only. Fluent English (spoken & written)
Nationality: Eastern European or South American.
Salary: circa 3,800 Euro/per month, pending experience. 30 days leave per year & 2 return flights per year to your homeport. [Based on 5-day work week.]
